Preparing your home for the arrival of your puppy

Firstly ensure that your garden is completely escape proof, puppies and older Cavaliers will find all the holes you have in the fence and can get caught in wrought iron gates. Consider putting plastic mesh over the bottom half of these types of gate.

Which colour?

There are four recognized colours :


Black & Tan: Raven black with tan markings above the eyes, on cheeks, inside ears, on chest and legs and underside of tail. Tan should be bright. White marks undesirable.

Ruby: Whole colour rich red. White marks undesirable.

The above two are known as wholecolours whilst the following two are known as parti - colours.

This is usually the second question you are asked by the breeders you speak too. Both males and females are equally affectionate but some people do not want to be bothered with a females seasons.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a happy outgoing, loving little dog who will get along well with children, other dogs and cats.
